General

Q: How long does it take to set-up the Edukit?
A: Typically, less than an hour. You can upload a CSV file through our Bulk Upload to register your new pupils, teachers and parents. It is then a simple process to build your collaborative areas. A one-hour training session is included in the set-up price.

Q: Can we keep our old school domain name and email address?
A: Yes, you can use your existing domain name for your new learning platform. You can also keep your email addresses as long as you can point your MX records to us.

Q: Can we continue to use our Microsoft Outlook for emails?
A: Yes, we have POP and IMAP integration which copies all your Outlook emails to your new learning portal and allows you to switch between your email systems.

Q: Can we customise Edukit?
A: Yes. You can have your name and logo on your homepage and customise your classes and groups, add applications and distribute information. We can also offer a more bespoke solution if you would like further customisation.

Q: What if I need more users?
A: Edukit can scale to meet any growth requirements. Please refer to our Pricing section on the site. You can continue to add more users individually or you can buy a larger package keeping your existing domain name and setup.

Q: Can we add the login page to our school website?
A: Yes, please contact us at info@edukit.co.uk or raise it during your training session and we will add this to your website.

Q: Do I need to download any software to run Edukit?
A: No. Edukit is a web based, fully hosted learning platform. All you need is a browser and an Internet connection.

Q: Is training required to use Edukit?
A: A little. We pride ourselves on providing simple-to-use interfaces and applications. We do offer a free one hour training sessions to set you up.

Q: How do I get new Edukit upgrades and features?
A: Your Intralite domain will automatically feature the most current version of the software, updated virus protection, the newest security processes, and new features. We are continually improving our solution based on our customer’s feedback.

Q: What is the uptime of Intralite?
A: We pride ourselves on providing 99.99% uptime.

Q: How reliable is Intralite?
A: Edukit has an excellent 10 year record of 99.99% availability. Our platform is backed up daily, redundant servers with 99.9% reliability and virus protection are only a few features that make Edukit a safe & secure environment for your school’s learning and communications portal. We house all hardware and software at our secure, 24x7 supported co-location facility in the London Docklands at Telecity Redbus.
